ModelSec: A Generative Architecture for Model-Driven Security
نویسندگان
چکیده
Increasingly, the success of software systems depends largely on how their security requirements are satisfied. However, developers are challenged in implementing these requirements, mainly because of the gap between the specification and implementation, and the technical complexities of the current software infrastructures. Recently, Model-Driven Security has emerged as a new software development area aimed at overcoming these difficulties. This new paradigm takes advantage of the benefits of the model driven software development techniques for modeling and implementing security concerns. Following this trend, this paper proposes a model driven security approach named ModelSec that offers a generative architecture for managing security requirements, from the requirement elicitation to the implementation stage. This architecture automatically generates security software artifacts (e.g. security rules) by means of a model transformation chain composed of two-steps. Firstly, a security infrastructure dependent model is derived from three models, which express the security restrictions, the design decisions and the information needed on the target platform. Then, security software artifacts are produced from the previously generated model. A Domain-Specific Language for security requirements management has been built, which is based on a metamodel specifically designed for this purpose. An application example that illustrates the approach and the Eclipse tools implemented to support it

Generative Programming via Graph Transformations in the Model-Driven Architecture
The Model-Driven Architecture of OMG envisions a development paradigm where designers create a PlatformIndependent Model (PIM) of the design, which is then refined into a Platform-Specific Model (PSM). This paper argues that this approach lends itself well to generative programming techniques, and that tools are needed to support this transformation. The paper shows how a technique based on gra...
متن کاملAn Architecture for Security and Protection of Big Data
The issue of online privacy and security is a challenging subject, as it concerns the privacy of data that are increasingly more accessible via the internet. In other words, people who intend to access the private information of other users can do so more efficiently over the internet. This study is an attempt to address the privacy issue of distributed big data in the context of cloud computin...
متن کاملTowards Test-Driven and Architecture Model-Based Security and Resilience Engineering
The quality of software systems depends strongly on their architecture. For this reason, taking into account non-functional requirements at architecture level is crucial for the success of the software development process. Early architecture model validation facilitates the detection and correction of design errors. In this research, the authors are interested in security critical systems, whic...
متن کاملA Generative and Model Driven Framework for Automated Software Product Generation
Component-based Software Engineering (CBSE) and related technologies have demonstrated their strength in recent years by increasing development productivity and parts reuse. Recently, the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) has raised the abstraction level of programming languages to modeling languages that can be compiled by downward model transformations. Correspondingly, the goal of Generative P...
متن کاملProposing A Distributed Model For Intrusion Detection In Mobile Ad-Hoc Network Using Neural Fuzzy Interface
Security term in mobile ad hoc networks has several aspects because of the special specification of these networks. In this paper a distributed architecture was proposed in which each node performed intrusion detection based on its own and its neighbors’ data. Fuzzy-neural interface was used that is the composition of learning ability of neural network and fuzzy Ratiocination of fuzzy system as...
